About Me

...
As Americans, as patriots, and most importantly as Felts, we are proud of our heritage. With our first 'American' ancestors arriving in New Hampshire in the 1630's, our family has been a part of the founding of this nation since its inception. Our ancestors came to this soil seeking a new life in a new land, they shed their blood for the cause of liberty and walked west across barren plains and over the Rocky Mountains for religious freedom. Our roots stretch across Europe from England to Germany and from Sweden to Italy. The purpose of this blog is to help our history come alive, for us and for our posterity. So often, we look at pedigree charts and group sheets and just see names and dates. But behind every name is a life and a story. These are those stories. "History is a mighty drama, enacted upon the theatre of time, with suns for lamps, and eternity for a background." -Thomas Carlyle
